The Ambika Group was founded in the late 1970s by Mr. Kanattummal Balan. He started his humble journey by starting small confectioneries and juice stores in Chennai city. That is when he noticed that the people who came to his shops had the ambition to work hard and succeed, but lacked the financial aid that could help them achieve their dreams. So, he started loaning money to help them achieve their aspirations, just like he had achieved his.
The level of understanding that the organization had towards helping people, built a system of trust, that led more people to approach the organization. To support this initiative, the company started its Chit Funds Program along with its Financing Program, which was exclusively for those who had a dream. The Chit Fund programs cater to both individuals and businesses and the Finance wing runs Loan programs at a macro as well as at a micro-level.
Over 50 years, the Ambika Group has served over a million customers predominantly in the Financial, Hospitality, and Real Estate industries. In all these years, the one thing that has remained most concrete is the trust and quality of service that the group offers.
